This is a general information Sheet PES profides:

IMPORTANT! -- NEVER use any electrodes above the waist.
Our research has shown that all electrodes applied to the nipple and breast areas can be dangerous. Whether isolated or non-isolated, ALL electrically stimulated breast electrodes can cause fluctuations in heart rhythm. While many people may experience no difficulties, those with diagnosed or undiagnosed cardiac problems may experience mild to severe complications, including possible death.

Do not use the P.E.S. Power Box with anything except Genuine P.E.S. Acrylic or Electro-Flex™ electrodes. Do not use P.E.S. electrodes with any other power source, particularly do-it- yourself devices. Other power sources can damage your P.E.S. devices and will void your warranty. P.E.S. products are specifically designed and engineered to work exclusively with P.E.S. technology to optimize the Erotic Electro Stimulation Effect, safely and effectively.

ALWAYS turn the power box off before adjusting, removing, or re-inserting the electrodes. By touching an active electrode, an electrical charge can be sent through the hand and arm and across the heart, causing potential heart fluctuations.

Use latex gloves when adjusting, removing, or re-inserting the electrodes. Even with the power off, this is a sensible safety precaution. It is critically important for those that use manual stimulation in addition to erotic electro stimulation (EES).

Don't touch a person that is connected to a power box if you are also connected to a power source. If you are not connected to a power source, you can touch your partner, as long as you don’t touch any connections or any of their active electrodes.

Never use an anal stimulator as a urethral stimulator. They can be cleaned and disinfected, but not entirely, and there is a possibility of infection. Both anal and urethral electrodes should be used by only one person, and never shared, to help eliminate the possibility of infection.

Caution:
DO NOT use any lubricant with silicone-based ingredients. Silicone is an insulator, and therefore, reduces conductivity. Silicone-based lubricants should not be used with any silicone products as the lubricant will bond to the product and undermine the composition of the product. Electro-Flex™ is a conductive silicone elastomer. When a silicone-based lubricant is used with an Electro-Flex™ product, not only is the conductivity affected, but also it may eventually lose all conductive properties. This will void any warranty, expressed or implied, on the Electro-Flex™ product line. Similarly, never use a condom over the conductive surfaces of the Electrode as the latex will prevent any electro stimulation from being felt.

P.E.S., Inc. recommends the use of a proper lubricant with all P.E.S. Electrodes (see lubrication chart below). A good lubricant not only lubricates but also it can also decrease the possibility of hot spots. Olive oil is a high viscosity lubricant that won’t break down rapidly or over-lubricate. In general, olive oil can be used as a lubricant with most of the Electrodes. As an alternative to olive oil, P.E.S. ElectroLube not only lubricates, but also it has conductive properties and it can increase the strength of the Erotic Electro Stimulation by as much as 40% by lowering skin resistance. You also can adjust and balance the Erotic Electro Stimulation by increasing the conductivity of a particular Electrode, or an area of that Electrode, by simply applying more P.E.S. ElectroLube to the skin beneath. For urethral devices, such as the Sparkler, Big Boy Sparkler, and the Corona Stimulator with Urethral Amplifier, we strongly recommend the use of Sterile Surgilube®. Water-based lubricants, such as Sterile Surgilube®, can be used as an alternative to olive oil or, if you do not have a conductive lubricant, you may use P.E.S. ElectroLube. There is only one exception to our recommendations concerning lubrication. The Samurai should NOT be used with any water-based or conductive lubricants. Other than olive oil, we recommend only the use of P.E.S. Sensual Lube with the Samurai. This will prevent possible discomfort during use of the Samurai. One may also use olive oil, as it has no conductive properties. Note: P.E.S. Sensual Lube is a silicone based lubricant and should NOT be used with any Electro-Flex™ Products. Note: DO NOT use any silicone-based lubricants. Silicone is an insulator, and therefore, reduces conductivity. Glycerin and water-soluble lubricants are to be avoided as well because they tend to dry out rapidly and become sticky and can thus decrease the sensations of the Erotic Electro Stimulation.
